Adult Bible Study Class

Meets in Family Life Center Room 16

The Adult Bible Study class has been meeting continuously since St. Philips began. Come visit with us, share in the fellowship, and add your own perspective of the Bible. We are looking forward to you joining us.

We usually study one book of the Bible at a time in its entirety. This tends to be an in-depth study with lots of great interaction rather than just an introduction. We also study and discuss other topics that are of interest to the class and are related to the Bible study. The topics are many and varied and the discussion is lively.

Our class also has a social function every other month. This always involves great fellowship and wonderful food, in the best Methodist tradition. We gather several times a year as a class to go out and eat. We like to try a different restaurant each time. We also gather three to four times a year at one of the member's homes for a mystery party. This is always great fun and of course great food.

This class has been using Serendipity Bible Studies on specific books of the Bible this spring.

Tools for Daily Living

Meets in Family Life Center Room 15

The class studies a variety of topics that help prepare us for daily living based upon our spiritual beliefs and faith. We have completed formal Bible studies, video series, and a variety of books used for discussion.

Our Sunday school offering helps support missions within our church and community. In the past, we have helped the Round Rock Area Serving Center, sponsored some of our church youth in their participation of UM Army, purchased shelves for our church library, and purchased food for needy families during the holiday season.

We do like to have fun, fellowship, and have social contact outside our Sunday school time. We meet either at a restaurant or someone’s home for food, games, and a good time. This time is special and helps build our Christian relationship.

Our class welcomes any adult to come for a visit. Remember, come Sunday morning at 9:30 in Room 15 also called the “Choir Room”. We look forward to meeting you.
