                             hospitality effort to provide 100,000 cookies
                             for delegates attending the 2008 General
                             Conference in Fort Worth. Parker, president
                            of the conference's United Methodist
                            Women, named Bartee "lead cookie
                             wrangler" to oversee the seven district
                            coordinators and many volunteers providing homemade cookies throughout the April 23-May 2 assembly. Thanks to our St. Philip’s United Methodist Women who provided 600 cookies for General Conference.   [A UMNS photo by John Lovelace.]
