Here for the first time?

If so, participate to the degree you feel comfortable. Dress is casual. Children are always welcome but if you prefer, childcare is available for babies & younger children in the Children’s Ministry Center between the Chapel and the Family Life Center. Ask the Ushers for one of our children’s packets, for nursery directions, or for any other help you may need.

We want you to feel at home. Please help yourself to a “No Place Like Home” folder from one of the baskets in the Chapel, or in the Family Life Center from a clear plastic folder or the Welcome Table.

There are four ways to become a member of St. Philip’s:

• Profession of Faith - for those who have experienced, or as we like to say here, had their Heart Opened, meeting Jesus for the first time, or after a long absence from God’s Church.
• Profession of Faith with baptism - same as above, but with the sacrament of baptism for those who have never been baptized.
• Transfer from another denomination - for those who have a current church membership in a denomination other than the United Methodist church.
• Transfer from another United Methodist Church - for those who currently have their membership in another United Methodist congregation.

When can I join/become a member of St. Philip’s?

Just come forward during the last song/hymn of any of our on campus Sunday worship services after the St. Philip’s pastor has extended an invitation to profess your faith, and/or unite with this United Methodist Congregation. If you would prefer a less public ceremony, see one of the pastors after the service, or make an appointment (244-2175).

Intentional Discipleship at St. Philip’s United Methodist Church

The original Homesteading Act brought all kinds of pioneers and Homesteaders to the Great Plains states, even right here in Round Rock, Texas. The Homesteading act had three requirements. One of the requirements was that the Homesteaders had to make improvements to their land. Just like the original Homesteaders, we at St. Philip’s United Methodist Church, need to continue to make improvements too. We need to build and improve on our faith. By creating a rock solid foundation in Christ, we will build on that foundation and pass our Homestead onto others. We’ll help others to create their Heavenly Homestead by completing the St. Philip’s Homesteading process.

The Homesteading process consists of three stages. Homesteading 100, 200 and 300 each will build on top of the others. You will have a choice of studying and learning along with a small group of other Homesteaders. You’ll meet some new wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ and make some new lifelong friends too.
