Connectional Giving

St. Philip’s helps support the shared ministries of The United Methodist Church through our Connectional Mission Giving (Apportionments), a method of giving that proportionally allocates the church-wide budget to local churches. St. Philip’s has a strong, generous tradition of giving 100% of our Apportionments each year.

Our 2012 Apportionments are $78,165; 9.42% of our 2012 General Fund Budget.

Together, with other United Methodist churches, we accomplish what no single church, could to do alone. In this way, each individual, each family, each congregation gives a fair share for to help support the Church’s ministry. Our dollars make a significant difference in the lives of God’s people as we offer God’s Tithe and our financial gifts.

The seven apportioned funds are:

  • World Service
  • Africa University
  • Black College
  • Episcopal
  • General Administration
  • Interdenominational Cooperation
  • Ministerial Education
